DOLLY TROLLY

Brooklyn lads and ladies Dolly Trolly were formed in late 2008 when members Tara Lynne & Gerard Kouwenhoven left their solo projects to create a cohesive sound, reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac & the B52's. Gerard's emphasis on electric guitar styling and power vocals seemed an unusual yet luscious fit to Tara Lynne's poundin' acoustic rhythms and sultry lyrics. The two admitted "harmony junkies", along with Drummer Tami Johnson, pushed and pulled the boundaries of each other’s comfort zones by experimenting with a wide variety of musical genres. Their evolving styles range from a folky and country party vibe to aggressive and melodic guitar driven rock-n-roll. Bass player Mary Feaster has been rocking the bass and holding the floor down with Dolly Trolly since 2016. The group can be found in the NYC area playing festivals such as Cabinfest, Rock Away Music Fest and Make Music New York. They have also been spotted in front of Macy's in downtown Brooklyn, or pushing their PA in a shopping cart down 5th Avenue in the NYC Pride Parade as well as traditional gigs at The Delancey, Way Station, The Bitter End, Branded Saloon, Playland, The Shrine, Arlene's Grocery, Pete's Candy Shop, Pianos, Buttermilk, Freddie's, The Rock Shop and the old Knitting Factory, Playland, Rockaway Brewery, Niagra, Rubulad, Orlando Fringe Festival, Way Station. Although always unpredictable, the group focuses on delivering a versatile show with high energy and tons of ear pounding excitement. Dolly Trolly recently released their album "Pretty Pages" available online everywhere. Dolly Trolly's sophmore album "Tiny Love Pieces" was released in 2010.
